This Easter, we were thrilled to offer another amazing Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme across our schools! It was a chance for children to explore new interests, make friends, and have some unforgettable fun.
Cheerful Camps launched with a fantastic range of activities, from getting messy at Slime Club to Disco to a virtual tour of Paris and a petting zoo where children got to meet some furry (or feathery!) friends!
Earthwake expanded its popular outdoor adventure learning with even more spaces available due to high demand. The children could truly connect with nature and enjoy the thrill of outdoor activities while making new friends and learning about the environment.
We had an even bigger and better sports club program! We opened up more spaces than ever before, so even more children could stay active, learn new skills, and build confidence. Children had a chance to play a variety of sports, from team classics to fun new discoveries...
As always, food played a central role in the HAF programme. Over 55 delicious meals were served each day, giving children the opportunity to try new and exciting dishes. But it wasn't just about eating – the children also learned about healthy recipes and even got to make their own creations to try at home with their families!
We hope that you had a fantastic Easter break!
Stay tuned for news about our upcoming Summer HAF programmes...
Our young ASSET Alumni group were given some amazing support from individuals and organisations across the Ipswich area to get their Youth Social Action idea off the ground - the power of mentoring and connections making a real difference!
We were thrilled that so many ASSET schools were finalists in the Suffolk Education Awards, and Charlotte Richardson's recognition as Family and Community Coordinator at The Beeches, winning the TA/Support Staff of the Year Award, was great news for the Village!
Three teams of staff from Edgar Sewter Primary in Halesworth, Bungay Primary and The Beeches Primary in Ipswich took part in the Race Across Suffolk last week to raise money for The Blossom Charity, who support people who have been through challenging life circumstances.
We added a new category of awards into the annual ASSET Awards this year to celebrate the amazing adults who make an enormous difference to our schools and the lives of children and families in our communities. Take a look at our winners...
