Become a Governor

A school’s “Local Governing Body” works in partnership with the ASSET trust board and trust senior leadership team to support their headteacher and staff, and ensure each school meets the needs of its children and the local community.

We value our local governing bodies and will work with them in their support for the school, as well as connecting their Chairs across our family of schools.

There is a requirement to have at least two parents on a board of governors.

On behalf of the Trust board and in partnership with senior Trust leaders, ASSET Governors…

On behalf of the local school community (including the church community in CofE schools), governors…

Governors can come from any walk of life, and we encourage applications from people with a diverse range of experience.

You will need to be over 18 to become a governor.
