School family support staff

We know life doesn’t always run smoothly.  Every ASSET school has a nominated Family Liaison Officer or ‘FLO’. In our smallest schools this may be the Headteacher, and in our larger schools this will be a member of staff whose job it is to support families if and when they need extra help and support for themselves or their children. 

All of our FLOs are trained and meet regularly to ensure that they can signpost to sources of support, from navigating bereavement and its impact on children, understanding how to get support for additional educational needs or child mental health to practical support with the cost of living.
